As a lifelong Marvel fan and avid gamer, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by the recent news about the upcoming expansion of NetEase’s Marvel Rivals with the addition of the Fantastic Four. Growing up, I always dreamed of having my favorite superheroes come to life in a video game, and now it seems that dream is becoming a reality.
Being a child of the ’80s, I vividly remember watching the animated series “Fantastic Four” on television and marveling at their incredible powers and teamwork. The thought of being able to control Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, or The Thing in a game like Marvel Rivals is almost too good to be true.
The success of Marvel Rivals so far is already impressive, with over 20 million players across all platforms and ranking highly on player charts in the United States. I’m eagerly awaiting the addition of these new characters, as it will undoubtedly add a new level of excitement and challenge to the game.
I must say, though, that I’m a bit surprised that it took so long for the Fantastic Four to join the roster. With Marvel’s rich history and expansive universe, it seems only natural that these iconic characters would be included sooner rather than later. But alas, better late than never!
I can hardly wait until Friday, January 10, when the Fantastic Four is set to become playable. I have a feeling this update will be the cherry on top of an already fantastic game.
And as for a little humor, let me just say that I’m half-tempted to start a petition to get Mole Man in the next expansion pack. Can you imagine controlling a giant subterranean monster with telekinetic powers? Now that would be a sight to behold!
Information leaked from a Chinese app indicates that the character lineup for NetEase’s free-to-play third-person shooter game Marvel Rivals may soon grow to include the legendary Fantastic Four. This potential addition suggests that Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing could potentially join the widely played game in the near future.
It’s being whispered that these four new characters could be playable from as soon as Friday, January 10th.
Within the past month, Marvel Rivals made its debut on Steam and gaming consoles, quickly gaining significant popularity. According to NetEase, the game has amassed more than 20 million players across all platforms, placing it high in player rankings within the United States towards the end of the year. This is an exceptional achievement for a fresh live service game, suggesting that it could soon join the ranks of the most successful free-to-play titles in recent history.

Right now, the game titled “Marvel Rivals” boasts a lineup of 33 playable characters hailing from every nook of the Marvel Universe. Among these are iconic Avengers such as Iron Man and Captain America, adored mutants like Wolverine and Magik, cosmic champions including Rocket Raccoon, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and Star-Lord, and even lesser-known figures such as Jeff the Land Shark, Peni Parker, and Luna Snow.

As a longtime comic book enthusiast, I must say that the rumor of the Fantastic Four joining the roster during the first season of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is incredibly exciting news! With over three decades of reading these iconic characters, I can confidently assert that NetEase’s decision to include both beloved heroes and some more surprising choices will undoubtedly keep fans like me engaged for hours on end. The anticipation of who else might join the fray in the coming months and years is almost unbearable! With such a vast pool of Marvel characters to choose from, I can only imagine the endless possibilities that await us in this action-packed game.

It’s been revealed that Jean Grey from the X-Men and Emma Frost are set to join the game in the near future. Emma is expected to serve as a frontline character, while Jean will be a combatant who engages in duels.
As a dedicated movie buff, I can’t help but speculate about the exciting additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) lineup. With new characters on the horizon, it seems inevitable that we’ll soon be witnessing the arrival of none other than Daredevil. Frankly, it’s a bit surprising that we haven’t seen Deadpool on the big screen yet, given the massive success of Marvel’s recent blockbuster sensation, Deadpool and Wolverine.
As a long-time Marvel fan, I must admit that I am thrilled about the recent rumors surrounding the potential return of the Fantastic Four to the big screen. Growing up, I always felt a special connection with the team, and their unique blend of superhuman powers and personal struggles resonated deeply with me. The idea of seeing them back in action, especially after the disappointing absence from the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, fills me with excitement and nostalgia. If true, this could mark a significant milestone in my lifelong journey as a Marvel enthusiast, and I can’t wait to see where their story takes us next.
