As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, let me tell you, the latest reveal from Marvel Rivals has sent shivers down my spine and brought a smile to my face! Ever since I was a kid, growing up with the Fantastic Four comics, I’ve been dreaming of the day they would grace the screen in all their pixelated glory. Now, it seems that day is finally upon us!
The artwork released by Marvel Rivals has captured each member of the FF beautifully – from Mr. Fantastic’s elastic limbs to Invisible Woman’s ethereal form, and even The Thing’s rocky hide. Not to mention, the addition of HERBIE and the Fantasticar is a nice touch!
What really piques my curiosity, though, is the subtle hint that Blade might be joining the roster soon. As a self-proclaimed aficionado of all things Marvel (and vampires), I can’t wait to see how the day-walker fits into this game.
I eagerly await the trailer on January 6th, which will undoubtedly give us a better idea of how each Fantastic Four member will play in Marvel Rivals. Until then, you can find me glued to my screen, replaying the artwork over and over again while humming the theme song from the Fantastic Four cartoon series.

Since its launch about a month ago, rumors surrounding Marvel Rivals have hinted that the Fantastic Four – comprising Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing – would be introduced as playable characters soon. Now, with developer NetEase Games confirming these leaks, fans are treated to a glimpse of all four members of Marvel’s original family, along with a hint of a new character set to join them later on.
A fresh post on social media showcases Marvel Rivals’ new designs for the Fantastic Four. As anticipated, the FF members sport white and blue tights with a prominent “4” emblem. The picture also features HERBIE, their robotic companion, as well as the Fantasticar. Although it remains uncertain if HERBIE or the Fantasticar will be present in Marvel Rivals at this point, it’s exciting to see them included in these designs.

What makes this Marvel Rivals artwork particularly intriguing is what’s absent from it – hints that the vampire hunter Blade might be joining Marvel Rivals soon. The art subtly indicates this by depicting bats flying in the sky and a blood-red moon glow behind the Fantastic Four, which could symbolize Blade’s presence. Although Blade himself isn’t depicted in the image, these elements suggest that he may be the next character added to Marvel Rivals after the Fantastic Four, and leaked information supports this theory as well.
At present, the precise date when the Fantastic Four will join Marvel Rivals is yet to be determined, but NetEase Games has announced they will unveil a new trailer featuring these characters on January 6th at 11:00am ET/8:00am PT. Once this trailer goes live, we can expect a clearer understanding of how each member of the Fantastic Four will interact within the game upon their entry.
