Marvel Rivals Reveals First Official Look at Blade

For the first time, an early look at the Marvel Rivals game’s version of the vampire hunter Blade has been revealed ahead of Season 1 launching. For about a month now, several reliable sources have hinted that Blade would eventually be playable in Marvel Rivals. This suggestion was largely supported when it turned out that Season 1, titled Eternal Night Falls, focuses on the villain Dracula. Although NetEase Games hasn’t unveiled Blade in a trailer as of yet, we’ve now caught a glimpse of his character design thanks to some new artwork.

As an eager fan, I’m thrilled to share a sneak peek: Insider Miller Ross has revealed a tantalizing glimpse of Blade in action within Marvel Rivals. In the gallery for Season 1, you’ll find a piece that depicts Dracula assaulting Blade as he launches his attack on New York. Nearby, the horned Asgardian monster Ratatosk can be seen defeated at Dracula’s feet, having been bested by the count in their recent encounter.

You can see the full artwork courtesy of Ross here:

As the approach of #MarvelRivals #EternalNightFalls, Dracula successfully overpowers his Empire of Eternal Night’s two most significant dangers: Blade and Ratatoskr. However, the #FantasticFour refuse to allow New York to succumb to the undead without a battle, and they emerge as tough opponents in Blade’s absence.

In the run-up to #MarvelRivals #EternalNightFalls, Dracula manages to suppress the two main hazards to his Empire of Eternal Night: Blade and Ratatoskr. But the #FantasticFour won’t let New York fall to the control of the undead without a struggle, and they prove to be tough adversaries when Blade is absent.

Although it’s exciting to find out that Blade is involved in some manner in Marvel Rivals, we’re no closer to learning when exactly he’ll become playable. Since the storyline of Season 1 revolves around Dracula, it’s hard to imagine that Blade won’t be among the playable characters before this season concludes. If he isn’t introduced during Season 1, it’s likely that Blade will be the first new character introduced in Season 2.

Starting tomorrow, January 10th, Marvel Rivals will introduce the Fantastic Four – Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing – throughout its first season. Initially, Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman will be playable characters in the game. Later on, during the second half of Season 1, Human Torch and The Thing are scheduled to join the roster at an undetermined date.
