As a long-time Marvel enthusiast and X-Men devotee with a soft spot for Cable and Bishop, I can hardly contain my excitement for “Timeslide” #1! Having followed these characters through various story arcs since their debuts, it’s an absolute thrill to see them team up once more in this time-traveling adventure.
As a gamer, I’m psyched about diving into the action-packed world of Marvel Comics with TimeSlide #1! In this one-shot, I’ll be joining forces with Cable and Bishop – two badass mutants hailing from the future. This year-ender is setting up some epic tales from 2025’s Marvel Universe.
Timeslide represents an advancement from Marvel’s Timeless one-shots, which debuted in 2021 and laid the groundwork for the publisher’s future projects. It functions as a shrewd marketing strategy that has yielded mixed outcomes when assessing the true quality of the comics produced.
Foxe expressed his excitement when Tom Brevoort contacted him about the “Timeslide” project. He loves the annual mega-issues and enjoys them as standalone stories as well as a glimpse into what’s coming up in the year ahead. The chance to create this one focusing on Cable and Bishop, two of his favorite mutants who he didn’t write much during his previous X-Men tenure, was an added bonus.
Here’s the solicitation text for the issue, which is due in comic shops in December:
