As a long-time fan who has spent countless hours honing my skills in these iconic fighting games since their arcade days, I couldn’t be more thrilled! The announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 coming to Xbox One in 2025 is music to my ears!
2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for gaming, especially for me as a fan of Capcom! Originally planned for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, they’ve just announced that Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will now also be available on Xbox One. This decision came about following some technical discussions with Microsoft, which I guess means we’re in for a treat! Can’t wait to see these classic fighting game compilations on my Xbox!
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is out on September 12th. It includes six games – X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and The Punisher – with features like a Museum for concept art, rollback netcode, and more.
The upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2 features timeless brawlers such as “Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro”, “Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001”, “Capcom Fighting Evolution”, “Project Justice”, “Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER”, “Power Stone 1” and “2”, as well as “Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein”. The collection, withwords:nightmare of the Collection. It is set for release in 2025, which may mean a simultaneous Xbox One version will be available alongside other platforms. Keep an eye out for further announcements until then.
