Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection Reveals First Look at Promo Comic

As a long-time comic book enthusiast and avid gamer, I must say that the announcement of the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics promotional comic has me thoroughly excited! The cover illustration by Todd Nauck is simply fantastic, showcasing my favorite characters from both universes in a dynamic and engaging way.

The “Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics” can be downloaded today on Steam, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. If you’re patient enough to wait for the game’s physical release in November, there’s an exclusive comic awaiting you as a pre-order bonus. We’ve had a heads up about this freebie for some time, but details have been scarce. However, the game’s preorder page has recently been updated with a cover for the comic. This cover art was created by veteran Marvel artist Todd Nauck and showcases several characters from the collection’s different games, such as Wolverine, Captain America, Mega Man, Morrigan, Spider-Man, and Captain Commando.

You’ll find the cover art for the promotional comic down below. If you’re interested, you can pre-order the game directly from Best Buy’s website by clicking this link.

At present, the creative team for the promotional comic remains undecided. There’s speculation that Todd Nauck might be responsible for the comic’s interior illustrations, but it could also just be that he’s working on the cover art. It would be delightful if Nauck were to handle the entire book given his exceptional work with Marvel characters and his ability to bring the Capcom cast to life effectively. Moreover, his rendition of Iron Man’s ’90s armor is a refreshing sight, as this design hasn’t been frequently used for quite some time!

Previously announced, the promotional comic for our project is planned to span across 32 pages. However, it remains uncertain how many of these pages will contain story elements and how many might be filled with artwork or other supplementary content. Such a distribution is common in promotional comics, so we’ll have to wait and see as more details emerge.
