Marvel’s All-New Venom: How Eddie Brock Became Carnage

Marvel’s All-New Venom: How Eddie Brock Became Carnage

As a longtime Marvel fanatic, I must say that these upcoming releases are truly exhilarating! The saga of Venom and Carnage has always been one of my favorites, and seeing them both taking on new directions is just mind-blowing.

The battle known as Venom War has concluded, but the chaos brought on by Eddie Brock’s Carnage is about to escalate. In issue #5 of Venom War, written by Al Ewing and illustrated by Ian Coello, we witnessed the climactic fight between the King in Black and Meridus, an evil alternate version of Eddie who summoned the zombiotes: a horde of symbiote zombies that revived the dead and controlled the living. As the Venom symbiote rejoined its initial host, Peter Parker, transforming him into Venomous Spider-Man, Carnage, Venom’s offspring, also made a reappearance.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it this way:

Marvel’s All-New Venom: How Eddie Brock Became Carnage

In issue #5 of Venom War, Eddie, critically injured by Meridus, made his way back to the church where he initially linked with Venom. There, he encountered the Carnage symbiote who confessed it had overloaded the Necrospear. With the All-Blood annihilated, Carnage was perishing.

The All-New Venom and Carnage

Marvel’s All-New Venom: How Eddie Brock Became Carnage

In the upcoming issue #1 of ‘All-New Venom’ penned by Ewing and artist Carlos Gomez (Fantastic Four), due in December, a fresh Venom host will form an alliance with the symbiote. On the other hand, Eddie Brock transforms into the deadliest guardian in ‘Eddie Brock: Carnage’ #1 written by Charles Soule (Star Wars) and illustrated by Jesus Saiz (Captain America), which is set for release in February.

Eddie must supply Carnage with deaths since Carnage requires killing. Eddie can accept this because the victims are serial killers, as explained by Soule regarding the new comic. However, Carnage is also an addict who craves increasingly intense experiences…

He went on, clearly enjoying himself. Jesus Saiz was eager to write a horror novel, as it’s right up his alley. He adores sketching eerie, natural entities, and I’m providing him with all the material he can manage.

Who will don the gold emblem in the upcoming Venom role? Marvel is currently keeping secret who it might be, but they have hinted at four possibilities: The Reporter, Robbie Robertson, a longtime Daily Bugle editor and frequent Spider-Man ally; The Terrorist, Whitney Frost, also known as Madame Masque in her golden armor; The Aide, Rick Jones, who has teamed up with Captain America and the Hulk; or The Mayor, Luke Cage, a former Hero for Hire who has led both the Avengers and the Thunderbolts.

Ewing shared with Polygon that they’re moving towards a more personal narrative, stepping away from grand cosmic tales. Instead, it’s about street-level heroics – think Spider-Man swinging through the city, or Venom’s antics. It’s a return to traditional superhero comics, but with some unexpected surprises we can’t wait to introduce.
