The upcoming film titled “Avengers: Doomsday” currently boasts a substantial list of actors and this number is expected to grow in the future. Marvel Studios recently initiated production on “Avengers: Doomsday“, an event announced via a live stream that lasted over five hours. During this broadcast, names of actors involved in the movie were unveiled, including characters from the Avengers team, Fantastic Four, Wakandans, and original X-Men films. Robert Downey Jr., reprising his role as Doctor Doom, hinted at potential additional cast members beyond those already announced. This speculation has now been confirmed by Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios.
At CinemaCon, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, made his presence known through a video message. In this communication, he shared two significant pieces of information. Firstly, there will be more actors joining the cast for the upcoming film “Avengers: Doomsday” than initially disclosed. Secondly, an epic battle is set to occur between the Avengers, Wakandans, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and original X-Men against Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Doctor Doom. This information was shared as Feige was busy overseeing the start of principal photography for “Avengers: Doomsday” on set. In other words, MCU enthusiasts can look forward to an extensive cast list similar to that seen in “Avengers: Endgame” once all is said and done.
It’s uncertain whether Marvel will follow the same approach as before for announcing new cast members in Avengers: Doomsday, possibly through a live broadcast. If they do, it might involve seating arrangements with actor names on the back of chairs, similar to previous events. This method allowed each actor to have their moment in the spotlight gradually, with music from their respective movie characters playing in the background. The anticipation grew with each new name unveiled, culminating in the announcements of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
Wow, that’s what I’d call a formidable lineup of talent! It’s almost like a long row, stretching out beyond the horizon… That must be it… right?”, Downey exclaimed in a social media post after the first Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement. “There’s always more room to add to this incredible roster…”, Marvel replied thoughtfully.
It wasn’t long before viewers noticed that popular characters like Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Benedict Wong (Wong), and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) were absent from the initial list of names. Additionally, there were whispers that Chris Evans might rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Avengers: Doomsday, but Evans himself debunked those claims.
Evans clarified to Esquire that what was being said wasn’t accurate. He explained that such incidents occur frequently and have been happening approximately every couple of years since the release of Avengers: Endgame. Tired of addressing it, Evans repeated his previous statement to Anthony Mackie: ‘Yes, I am enjoying my retirement!’
Hailee Steinfeld, the actress who plays Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, had an unintentional slip of the tongue when responding to a fan about being in Avengers: Doomsday. Steinfeld initially gave a confident nod, but then her facial expression shifted subtly as she seemed to recognize that she might have made an error.
In the upcoming X-Men movie, some original cast members are set to reappear in their previous roles. These include Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and Kelsey Grammer as Beast. However, when Halle Berry was recently queried about Storm’s return at CinemaCon, she chuckled and stated, “Keep holding on. It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen.
