As a long-time Marvel Comics enthusiast, I must say that the upcoming series “One World Under Doom” has piqued my interest to no end! With Doctor Victor Von Doom becoming Sorcerer Supreme and then mysteriously disappearing only to return as the ruler of the world, it’s a plot twist that would make even the most seasoned comic book reader sit up and take notice.
In the time span that has passed since the event that exterminated dinosaurs, Marvel Comics is now stepping into an era reminiscent of the dinosaur age. The publisher has shared news that Dinosaur Doom, a dino equivalent of Victor von Doom who holds the titles of Sorcerer Supreme and Emperor of the World, will return to rule Earth again. This will be depicted in a series of variant covers symbolizing Victor von Doom’s dominion over the Marvel Universe in the storyline “One World Under Doom“.
This upcoming nine-part series is written by Ryan North, who at present writes the “Fantastic Four” comics and introduced the ruthless T-rex in issue #12 of “Fantastic Four” in 2023. Furthermore, Doom variants, which previously appeared in issues of “Amazing Spider-Man”, “Avengers”, “X-Men”, and other monthly titles before the release of “One World Under Doom”, will now focus on Dinosaur Doom across all nine issues of the main series by North and artist R.B. Silva (known for his work in “Rise of the Powers of X” and “Captain America: Symbol of Truth”).
I’ve just taken a look at the newly unveiled cover art for the Doomasaur variant series, and it’s quite an impressive lineup! Artists like Clayton Crain from Black Widow, Leinil Francis Yu of Thunderbolts: Doomstrike, Godtail from Magik, Cory Smith on Wolverine, Salvador Larroca for Infinity Watch, Geoff Shaw with Red Hulk, Carlo Pagulayan on Star Wars, Ken Lashley in Predator vs. Black Panther, and Mark Bagley from Ultimate Spider-Man have all contributed to this exciting project. I can’t wait to see the final results!
In another dimension untouched by time, when Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing ventured through a gateway, they found themselves in a world where dinosaurs continued to roam. Here, the tyrant Doom and his dinosaur-ruled counterpart, Dino-Doom, sought to combine their realms into one. This fusion was supposed to yield a grander universe, yet one that would bow to Doom’s dominion.
“I’m Victor von Doom,” Doctor Doom told the heroes. “One universe was never going to be enough.”
In a thrilling clash, the dinosaur equivalent of Doctor Doom fought against the Dinosaurs’ Fantastic Four – Stretchy T. Rex (Reed), Invisible Triceratops (Sue), Flying Fire Raptor (Johnny), and Rocky Pachycephalosaurus (Ben) – as well as the Dinosaur Avengers: Shield-slinging Spinosaurus (Captain America), Armored Brachiosaurus (Iron Man), Parasaurolophus with an Enchanted Hammer (Thor), Winged Quetzalcoatlus (Black Widow), Cosmic-Powered Lambeosaurus (Captain Marvel), and Sorcerer Shantungosaurus (Doctor Strange).

Six months ago, I found myself ascending to the role of Sorcerer Supreme as Doctor Victor Von Doom, and then secluded myself behind Latveria’s fortified borders. For many, my absence has been a welcome respite from worldly turmoil. However, I sense that this tranquility was merely the eye of the storm, and now, the tempest has arrived.
