As a seasoned gamer who has traversed the concrete jungle of New York countless times as Spider-Man, I must say that Insomniac Games’ latest update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5 is nothing short of a web-tastic surprise! After months of anticipation for new content, this small yet significant patch has brought much-needed fixes to some of my favorite suits.
Today on PlayStation 5, developer Insomniac Games has dropped an unexpected update for “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2”. With the one-year mark of the game’s release approaching, it was assumed that updates would be less frequent. In fact, the last patch, which introduced several new suits to the game, was back in June. Now, Insomniac is planning to make a few minor adjustments affecting the cosmetic changes previously introduced in the open-world adventure.
In essence, the minor update v1.003.001 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is focused mainly on addressing issues with the Spider logo on both the Last Stand Suit and the Webbed Suit. Additionally, the developers have made adjustments to the Suit design from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie based on player feedback. Furthermore, this update includes some additional fixes aimed at improving overall performance and preventing crashes.
In the future, it remains uncertain how extensively Insomniac will continue supporting Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Some fans anticipated DLC for Spider-Man 2, but Insomniac has not revealed any intentions regarding this type of content. Instead, information from the developer suggests that they might be focusing on entirely new games such as Marvel’s Wolverine and other upcoming projects. However, even if DLC isn’t planned, there’s a strong possibility that we’ll receive periodic updates for the game in the future.
