Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Surprises Players With Free Suits

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Surprises Players With Free Suits

As a longtime Spider-Man enthusiast and someone who has spent countless hours swinging through New York City in this magnificent game, I couldn’t help but feel a warm sense of appreciation when Insomniac Games and PlayStation decided to give away the Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

In a delightful twist, Insomniac Games and PlayStation have surprised Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 players on PS5 by offering a set of fresh suits at no cost. Although there hasn’t been any DLC for Spider-Man 2 since its release last year, Insomniac has consistently updated the game, introducing new cosmetics for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the process. This practice continues, with the latest free additions to Spider-Man 2 being skins that some players may already possess.

Currently, you can get the Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 completely free of charge on the PlayStation Store. Originally priced at $4.99 when it was launched earlier this year, these suits were part of a fundraising campaign for the non-profit organization Gameheads. During this campaign, all profits from the sale of the Fly N’ Fresh Suit pack were donated to Gameheads. Now that the fundraising period has ended, PlayStation is offering these skins for free to everyone who downloads them from the store.

Insomniac Games has collaborated with Gameheads, a non-profit organization, to develop two unique costumes for ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’. These suits are designed for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Gameheads strives to empower underprivileged and minority youth by providing them the skills needed to succeed in the video game industry.

It’s worth noting that one potential drawback of making these Spider-Man 2 skins free is that they weren’t particularly well-liked when initially released. Players have been critical of these cosmetics due to their overly bright colors since their introduction in 2024, with many labeling them as some of the least favorite suits in all of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, it’s still a positive development that all cosmetics within the game are now accessible to everyone and aren’t confined by any additional paywalls.

From hereon, we’re looking forward to the release of “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” on PC, scheduled for January 30, 2025. It appears that this might mark the conclusion of Insomniac’s involvement with the project as they have previously announced that no further story DLC will be produced.
