As much as I’d love to dive into Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, it seems like we’ll have to wait a bit longer. The PS5 sequel is fresh off the shelves, and Insomniac Games is fully engrossed in developing Marvel’s Wolverine at the moment, so it looks like we’re going to savor the current games for a while longer!
Despite not knowing exactly when it’ll arrive, we’re certain that the game is on its way. Over the weekend, during a chat with The Direct at MultiCon, voice actor Yuri Lowenthal (who plays Peter Parker in the games) disclosed a few tidbits about the future of the franchise.
In this article, we might discuss details from the story that some readers might find spoiler-y, so if you prefer not to know them yet, feel free to navigate back to our homepage instead.
Regarding Lowenthal’s participation in the upcoming game, he clarified: “There isn’t much I can reveal about this project, but you’ve stumbled upon the one piece of information I can share – yes, Peter will indeed be involved. He won’t be a mere spectator; instead, expect his active presence in the next game.
People who have completed the game are aware that Peter symbolically hands over his web-slinging duties to Miles Morales at the end of the storyline. However, it’s hinted that this is just a brief hiatus, and given that Green Goblin is set to appear in the next installment, it seems likely that Peter will be back in action again soon.
One intriguing detail is that there could potentially be three playable superheroes in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, hinted by the final scene where Miles’ mum Rio introduces her boyfriend, Albert Moon, to her family. In the last shot, we glimpse the back of his daughter Cindy, a character fans will recognize as the web-slinger Silk.
