Marvel's T'Challa Battles a Yautja in First Look at Predator vs. Black Panther Comic

As a longtime comic book enthusiast and collector with a particular affinity for crossover events featuring iconic characters, I find myself absolutely thrilled by the upcoming release of “Predator vs. Black Panther” #1. The sheer variety and quality of the artwork showcased in these variant covers is truly astounding.

Should something wound or harm it, Wakanda has the power to eliminate it. The Marvel imprint, 20th Century Studios, introduces the comic crossover titled “Predator vs. Black Panther” where a Predator King clashes with T’Challa, Wakanda’s ruler. Benjamin Percy, who authored last year’s “Predator vs. Wolverine“, partners with artists Christopher Allen (“Black Panther”), Sean Damien Hill (“Bishop: War College”), Lee Ferguson (“Blade”), and inker Craig Yeung (“Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda”) for this new limited series, available from August 21st.

Marvel Comics is giving a sneak peek at Allen’s artwork for the upcoming series “Predator vs. Black Panther,” as well as unveiling a collection of variant cover art. The newly presented covers display the updated Yautja designs, featuring work from Ken Lashley (“Venom War: Carnage”), Philip Tan (“Wolverine: Deep Cut”), Pete Woods (“Deadpool: Black, White & Blood”), Skottie Young (“Strange Academy”), Edwin Galmon (“Marvel’s Voices Legends”), and Leinil Francis Yu (“Wolverine”).

In the latest installation of this action-packed series, Black Panther and his loyal forces – the Dora Milaje and Wakanda’s War Dogs, or Hatut Zeraze – face off against a formidable enemy: an unyielding horde of the most ruthless hunters across the cosmos.

In simpler terms, the Black Panther’s most recognized tale is his power struggle with Killmonger. I’m drawing inspiration from that narrative but expanding it on a grander cosmic level. A Predator monarch has two warring sons, and the ownership of vibranium could decide their fate.

Predator vs. Black Panther #1 is on sale August 21st from Marvel Comics.
