Matthew McConaughey’s night out was more than alright, alright, alright.

In the end, the star of Interstellar enjoyed an evening out with his wife Camila Alves and their oldest son Levi Alves McConaughey, who is 16 years old, at the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival premiere for The Rivals of Amziah King.

On the red carpet on March 10th, Matthew donned a sleek black suit paired with a coordinating tie, while Camila added elegance by wearing all black to complement him. In contrast, the young star chose a maroon-patterned button-down shirt under a black bomber jacket and stylish tan trousers.

Indeed, he reminisced about a time when he attempted to explain the nuances of his 2014 crime drama “True Detective” in a way that was suitable for children.

Having kids has helped me improve my storytelling skills. Instead of explaining the complexities of shows like True Detective to my 4-year-old when I get home from work, I find myself crafting stories that are appropriate and easy for them to understand. This exercise in simplifying and reimagining narratives has undeniably made me a better storyteller overall.

He underscored, “To make an engaging tale for my children about a hero, a villain, and a beast in this narrative, I needed to enhance my skills as a storyteller, so I could convey the moral lesson within the story I experienced.
