The origins of Student Government date back as far as 2009, coinciding with Free Comic Book Day, a day that marked a pivotal moment for writer Dave Justus. “I was still self-publishing my own mini-comics when I first met Lilah on Free Comic Book Day in 2009,” said Justus. “By the end of the day, we were brainstorming ideas together.” Since then, their collaboration has resulted in significant recognition within the comic book industry.

Co-writer Lilah Sturges expressed her enthusiasm: “I’ve never been more thrilled that Student Government is finally becoming a reality! Dave, Joe, and I have been discussing the idea of collaborating on a book for over ten years, and it feels like fate brought us together.
