As a lifelong comic book enthusiast who grew up with the dark knight gracing my TV screen and comic book pages, I can’t help but feel exhilarated by this latest wave of Batman merchandise! The 1:1 scale cowl replica from the iconic 1989 film is a dream come true for any Bat-fan. And at just $99.99 on Amazon, it’s a steal compared to specialty retailers!

Originally released by McFarlane Toys / DC Direct in July, the 1:1 scale replica of Michael Keaton’s cowl from the 1989 Batman movie quickly sold out on Amazon due to its lower price of $60 compared to specialty stores. If you didn’t manage to grab one then, here’s another chance! As I write this, the cowl is back in stock for pre-order on Amazon and costs $99.99. Keep in mind that it will be delivered on November 25th – perfect timing for holiday shopping!

Should the item run out of stock once more and you find yourself eagerly wanting it, you can secure a pre-order for one at Entertainment Earth for $159.99. However, what they’ve unveiled now is their first full-scale cowl replica – and who better to start with than Michael Keaton’s Batman from Tim Burton’s iconic 1989 film! Here’s hoping for more such releases in the future.

What James Gunn Has Planned For Batman

Currently, “The Brave and the Bold” remains somewhat enigmatic. Kickstarting the James Gunn and Peter Safran era at DC Studios has been a flurry of exciting ideas. One of the most significant announcements was their Batman project, which long-time fans are eager to witness. The upcoming Batman series promises a fresh perspective focused on the Bat-Family, particularly piquing the interest of Damian Wayne aficionados, as this time, we’ll get to see the character in live-action.

“The tale unfolds about the real son of Batman, Damian Wayne, who was hidden from us for eight to 10 years. Raised as a killer and assassin, he is a challenging character, even being referred to as a ‘little son of a bitch.’ He’s my preferred Robin, and this story is inspired by the Grant Morrison comic book series, one of my favorite Batman storylines. We are currently merging these elements together.

Safran also stated during the announcement that this film is undoubtedly a full-length movie, and it will include other members of the wider ‘Batman family’. He feels that they’ve been absent from big screen Batman stories for much too long.
