What James Gunn Has Planned For Batman
Currently, “The Brave and the Bold” remains a bit of an enigma. Kicking off the James Gunn and Peter Safran era at DC Studios, there are plenty of exciting plans underway. Among the most notable announcements is their Batman project, which has longtime fans eager to see the unique take on The Caped Crusader that this Bat-Family-focused production promises. For Damian Wayne enthusiasts, the wait is finally over as we’ll be witnessing the character in live-action for the first time.
As a long-time fan of DC Comics, I find myself particularly excited about the upcoming story of Damian Wayne, Batman’s previously unknown son. Having grown up as a ruthless assassin and murderer, Damian’s unique background sets him apart from other characters in the Batman universe. His complex past and development make him one of my favorite Robin incarnations. The upcoming series is based on Grant Morrison’s iconic comic book run, which remains one of my all-time favorite Batman storylines. I eagerly await this new take on the character, as it promises to deliver a fresh perspective on the dark and complex world of Gotham City.
In his statement during the announcement, Safran made clear that this is indeed a full-length movie and it will include other characters from the broader ‘Batman family’. He believes they’ve been noticeably absent from big-screen Batman tales for an extended period.
