The collaboration between Deadpool and Wolverine was groundbreaking for the MCU as the franchise’s first R-rated film, and it served as an ideal conduit linking the MCU with Fox’s X-Men series. In no time at all, Deadpool and Wolverine soared to become one of the most enjoyable entries in the MCU, and the innovative opening credit sequence effectively established the movie’s tone.

Passing the $1.3 billion milestone at worldwide box offices, the duo of Deadpool and Wolverine now holds the title as the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever made, a feat that significantly raises the bar for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the future. Given the incredible success of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool, it seems almost inevitable that this character will reappear in the MCU, although an official confirmation has yet to be made. Amidst the violence and intensity, Deadpool broke into a dance routine synchronized with NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” from 2000, adding an unexpected, hilarious touch. In this particular sequence, professional dancer Nick Pauley donned the Deadpool suit, perfectly replicating NSYNC’s choreography for the song, making the entire scene even more amusing.

In the opening scene of “Deadpool & Wolverine”, Deadpool battles against TVA Minute-Men to the beat of “Bye, Bye, Bye”. This scene sets the stage for the movie and concludes with Wade Wilson grasping Wolverine’s adamantium claws as though they were his own.
