Mean

Heather Gay has gained a new sense of self since shedding some pounds.

In a response to allegations, the star of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” countered suggestions that her character had transformed following a year’s worth of weight loss, achieved through the use of a medication similar to Ozempic called semaglutide.

During the January 22 reunion episode of Bravo’s fifth season, host Andy Cohen confronted Heather with a question from a viewer who suggested that she had gained an unfair advantage following her transformation and posed, “Do you understand why some might see you as emitting ‘mean girl’ vibes this season?

Heather responded with a smile, “It’s quite engaging, isn’t it?” She mused, “Back then, when I was heavier, I was seen as an underdog, so standing up for myself was acceptable. The Heather from season one had more self-assurance than this person here. This show really challenges your ego and your confidence.

In the past, before shedding over 20 pounds, “I encountered much tougher struggles and exhibited far more harshness, carrying significantly more aggression and fury compared to this current period without a doubt.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I proudly echo Mary Cosby’s uplifting sentiments towards our cherished companion.

In agreement with Mary Cosby, I’m expressing warm, supportive words for our valued friend.

Mary observed, “Heather seems changed to me. She appears to have a higher self-esteem, lavishing love onto herself. When I first met Heather five years ago, she was quite gloomy and seemed unhappy. It seemed like she had sunk into a deep pit left by those who belittled her or brought her down. Now, she exudes more self-assurance and if she feels the need to confront someone, she does so with newfound confidence.

During the initial seasons of RHOSLC, Heather often pondered about not having a complete sense of security with her own body.

In my line of expertise, I can confidently say that strutting your stuff with outfits that don’t quite fit takes a boatload of self-assurance. Here I am, sporting a stretchy jumpsuit, surrounded by stunning women. To pull off an event like this, you need confidence in bucketloads.

The mother of three even got emotional defending herself from negative commentors.

She went on saying, “Since I feel content and I admire myself, I don’t wish this positivity to turn me into a harsher person. My uniqueness shouldn’t be attributed to the fact that I used medication for weight loss.

Previously, Heather has been open about experiencing criticism for utilizing an injectable drug meant for Type 2 diabetes management as a means of weight loss, even though Ozempic has gained significant popularity worldwide in recent times.

She told TopMob News in September that she has faced criticism for a wide variety of reasons, including her weight and her use of medication. She lamented that no matter what, it seems there is always something to be criticized about, stating, ‘You can’t win.’

She remarked, “I haven’t changed, really. I feel the same way as before. I appreciated myself back then, and I appreciate myself now. It so happens that Ozempic is now an option, and it seems to be working well for me.

The continuation of the reunion for “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” will be aired on Wednesday, January 29th, starting at 8 p.m., only on Bravo.

And keep reading to see TopMob’s official ranking of every Housewife ever.

Bravo’s unsuccessful endeavor in showcasing our country’s capital introduced four women who are quite forgettable, to the point where you might inadvertently wipe them from your mind; however, their names are Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner. There was also one woman who desperately craved attention, managing to gatecrash a party at the White House. More details on her will follow.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must share some insights about the Utah Housewife from season two who made headlines recently. In the chilly month of January 2022, Jennie found herself on the wrong side of public opinion when her past offensive and racially insensitive Facebook posts reappeared online. The fallout was swift, leading to her termination. Later, she expressed remorse for her actions but the harm had already been inflicted.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

During season 16, the Orange County doctor, Dr. Jen, was more of a calm presence rather than a source of drama. Her brief marital issues with her husband, Ryne (or perhaps Ryan), were not particularly captivating. However, one incident that will forever be etched in our memories is when Dr. Jen got quite tipsy on wine during the Dubrows’ exceptionally awkward, yet highly entertaining dinner party.

The initial period for the nurse anesthetist could be encapsulated with a single embarrassing term, let’s hope it’s not repeated – “Esophagus-incident”.

Katie was fond of discussing her charitable deeds, yet she didn’t seem very active on screen. She was more like a one-time appearance, scarcely making an impact as a friend. Cutting the cast trip short? Definitely not recommended for a ‘Housewife’.

In my perspective, during the two seasons I was part of the Housewives franchise, my marital struggles took center stage – these are the moments that stand out most to me regarding Charrisse, along with her champagne room.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

In season 12, it was refreshing to witness some diversity with Peggy joining the predominantly white cast of the O.C., but her presence turned out to be a source of frustration. The disputes she initiated were peculiar, frequently revolving around misunderstandings about words, and her behavior during the Iceland trip, where she chose to isolate herself in her room for an entire day, demonstrated that she might not be well-suited for the lifestyle portrayed on Real Housewives.

During season eight, instead of developing a connection with fellow Nigerian costar Wendy Osefo, Nneka’s first storyline revolved around an alleged accusation that her mother was a witch (indeed, quite unusual). It’s a pity we didn’t get to see them bond over their shared heritage rather than engaging in conflict without resolution.

In the 16th season, Noella whirled around like an energetic whirlwind. Although her personal hardships (her husband, James, left the country and sought a divorce just before filming began) added intrigue, it was her ongoing conflicts with Heather Dubrow that kept her from sinking too low in the rankings. Perhaps given more time and another season, we might grow fonder of Noella Bergener.

In just one season, she transitioned from maintaining peace to endless complaints about a tossed cake and baseless accusations of anti-Semitism – quite possibly the swiftest descent in the history of the Real Housewives series we’ve ever witnessed.

Everything that Amber and her spouse, Jim, undertook appeared extremely desperate. It’s worth noting that Jim found himself more entangled in the drama compared to Amber, which isn’t particularly appealing.

What stands out about Karen is her profession as a dentist, and it appeared that none of her colleagues held her in high regard. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Among the more recent temporary cast members on “RHONY,” Jules didn’t stay long enough to be listed among the top. Nevertheless, she certainly provided a lot of drama during her time.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina embodied a multi-faceted, accomplished Arab woman skillfully integrating contemporary lifestyle with age-old cultural customs. For the most part, she steered clear of the first season’s turmoil and at times found herself overshadowed by her co-stars due to their more prominent, boisterous personas.

As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but appreciate Taleen being an exceptional newcomer in the second season of RHODubai. I eagerly anticipate learning more about her in the upcoming episodes.

In seasons 11 and 12 of America’s Next Top Model, the veteran contestant carried a peach, but failed to leave a significant mark on the Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) scene, with her pregnancy being a constant aspect throughout her time there. However, she did earn points for her memorable reading of Marlo Hampton during their time in Tokyo.

As is often the case, we tend to rank new Housewives higher after witnessing multiple seasons. However, Katie made a strong debut during the 18th season of RHOC, squaring off against veteran Housewife Heather Dubrow right from the start. It takes considerable courage to challenge someone as high-profile as ‘Ms. Fancypants’.

Sara’s consistently optimistic and insightful perspective on life was generally refreshing, but lacked significant conflict (apart from an instance where she gave Caroline Brooks some rather controversial parenting advice). Nevertheless, this tech entrepreneur has broken down misconceptions about what it means to be a contemporary Muslim woman in the Middle East, and for that we commend her.

The newcomers on “RHONJ” Season 13 match the profile of the typical Jersey Housewife, and they soon became embroiled in a prolonged spat over an insignificant issue that Andy Cohen labeled as futile at the reunion. Regrettably, these past friends didn’t add much depth during Season 14.

In the initial season, Larsa didn’t leave a strong or memorable impact before departing the show. When the revival of RHOM took place in 2021 for its fourth season, her narrative primarily revolved around her past friendship with Kim Kardashian and her involvement in the adult content platform, OnlyFans, by selling suggestive foot photos.

After spending one season as a Bravo celebrity, she participated in season 12 of ‘Next Food Network Star’ in 2016. However, she wasn’t successful on that show either.

Sadly, she seemed to serve as a scapegoat for Brandi Glanville. Moreover, her tagline glorifying the idea that one can never be too thin was distasteful.

Or:

Unfortunately, Brandi Glanville often treated her harshly. Adding to this, her catchphrase promoting an unappealing notion about weight was in poor taste.
