Mecha Break Could Unlock All Launch Mechs Following Backlash to Open Beta

The open beta for Mecha Break, the thrilling third-person mecha game by Seasun Games, garnered a significant player base on Steam. Yet, it was met with an overwhelming number of unfavorable user reviews, as numerous gamers expressed dissatisfaction regarding the game’s progression system.

The main problem lies in the fact that initially, only one Break Striker was accessible, while the others could only be obtained by earning currency to unlock them. Although the developer hasn’t officially confirmed it, CEO Kris Kwok hinted at potential changes in the future. In his words, “We understand the primary concern and we believe the players are correct. We are contemplating providing access to all Strikers for players,” he shared with PC Gamer through an interpreter.

Even after this update, players will need to work hard or spend money to acquire Break Strikers released afterward, including new versions of the existing roster. However, it’s good news that Amazing Seasun is thinking about restricting Modules, which offer unique advantages and disadvantages, to its Mashmak extraction mode only. This should ensure fairness in its Player vs Player modes.

The game titled “Mecha Break” doesn’t yet have a specific date set for its launch, but you can expect it on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms by the end of this year. Keep an eye out for further updates within the upcoming months.
