2021’s competition begins at the Great Wall of China. The participating duo will traverse across China, Nepal, and India, covering approximately 14,000 kilometers.

Among the participating teams are sisters Elizabeth and Letitia, who chose to join the Race Across the World for the exciting adventure it presented.

In my own words, I was driven to see a task through to the end, to achieve something significant, as I recently articulated.

In this competition, I believe it presents an excellent chance for personal development. I constantly aim to challenge myself and discover the extent of my abilities, as well as gain self-understanding.

However, apart from the information you already have, let’s delve deeper into the story as these sisters take part in the most challenging race.

Who are Elizabeth and Letitia?

Relationship: Sisters

Sisters Elizabeth, aged 33, and Letitia, 26, both have distinct personalities – Elizabeth being outgoing while Letitia is more reserved – will soon reunite for a long-awaited period of shared experiences following nearly a decade of separate residences.

They approach life in distinct ways, eager to benefit from one another’s abilities as they jointly undertake the Race Across the World.

As they prepare for the race, the sisters are depending not only on each other but also on the goodwill of passersby.

As a movie buff, I’ve got an idea for our upcoming adventure that I believe will strike the right chord between us, given our distinct personalities: “I’d be thrilled if we could find a harmonious blend of both our interests and styles on this trip.

In simpler terms, we make a good team because although we have our differences, they could actually benefit us in moving forward. I’m more of an analytical person, while Letitia tends to be more direct at times. The key, I believe, is working together effectively and not overspending money.

Before embarking on her journey, Letitia completed a 100-kilometer hike along the South Downs, which took her a total of 27 hours to finish.

She expressed: “That task was quite demanding, but I sense it may surpass it. It served as a preparation process, similar to an endurance trial. In racing, one must persevere through much, so I believe mentally, it has readied me to continue pushing forward.

“I’ve also started to fast a little bit because I can be very hangry sometimes.”

Why did Elizabeth and Letitia want to take part in Race Across the World?

For Letitia, she wanted to set a goal for herself and to accomplish it.

Because traveling brought me immense joy, I thought, “Why not attempt a goal in something I’m deeply passionate about?” We made an excellent team during our adventures, immersing ourselves in different cultures, and I can hardly conceive doing it with anyone but you.

Elizabeth shared the same feelings as her sister, pointing out that although they had each embarked on separate journeys, they hadn’t experienced one together. Participating in “Race Across the World” could be an exciting opportunity for them to enjoy a mutual passion.

Elizabeth commented: “As a younger person, I was quite adventurous, eager to explore different places without much thought. Upon returning from Italy, I seem to have become more reserved and less inclined to challenge myself as before.

I found myself slipping into a routine of nine-to-five work without much effort, which made me yearn for more challenge. Therefore, I decided to strive for personal growth as well.
