As a seasoned viewer of British television, I must say that Six Four boasts a remarkable ensemble cast, each member bringing their unique talents to the table. James Cosmo, with his illustrious career spanning decades, is a familiar face from Trainspotting to Game of Thrones. His character, Jim Mackie, mirrors the turmoil of many on-screen roles Cosmo has portrayed – a man grappling with the weight of the past and the unyielding mystery surrounding his daughter’s disappearance.

Starting tonight (October 1st), ITV1 will be airing a repeat of the crime thriller that premiered on ITV last year, titled Six Four.

At present, he grapples with the distressing disappearance of his own daughter and appears to also be experiencing a mid-life crisis. His enthusiasm for his job has begun to dwindle, but the mystery surrounding his daughter’s whereabouts only intensifies the strain on his relationship with Michelle. However, when faced with an old, unsolved case that he recognizes, his passion for his work starts to resurface. But will he be able to crack this case?

However, her unsolved disappearance has had a devastating effect on his mental health, causing him to withdraw from much of society. In reference to his character in Six Four, Cosmo noted that “He has plunged into a dark abyss of depression, anxiety, and conspiracy theories, cutting himself off from most of the world.
