As a dedicated fan of fantasy series, I must say that the newcomers to The Rings of Power are nothing short of impressive. Largo Brandyfoot, portrayed by a talented actor or actress whose name I haven’t yet learned, is an original character for this production, and their performance is captivating.

It’s been a long wait, but finally The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is back for season 2.

Just like the previous season, the latest installment of the Amazon Prime series introduces familiar figures from J.R.R. Tolkien’s novels and Peter Jackson’s movie adaptations, alongside a host of fresh characters.

For this season, some fresh personalities have joined the cast, among them the timeless character from literature, Tom Bombadil, and what appears to be a newcomer in the form of Ciarán Hinds’ enigmatic dark sorcerer.

Absolutely, viewers can expect to follow along with Morfydd Clark’s character Galadriel and Robert Aramayo’s Elrond, while Charlie Vickers reappears as the true form of Sauron, who was disguised as Halbrand during much of season 1.

Galadriel is an ancient elf with a rich history in Middle-earth, often recognized as the Lady of Lothlórien. At this point, however, she has taken up the role of a warrior, determined to pursue Sauron in memory of her deceased brother, Finrod. In season 1, she expelled him from her presence upon learning that he had been concealing himself under the guise of Halbrand.

“In essence, you’re embarking on a shared voyage with someone else. The identity of ‘him’ is indeed a crucial piece, but it’s not the whole story – think of it as the delightful cherry on top. However, more will be revealed about this aspect during the current season.”
