As a die-hard fan of Sex and the City, I can’t help but reminisce about the timeless moments that made this series so beloved. Each couple had their unique charm, and it’s fascinating to see how they navigated love, career, and friendship in the heart of New York City.
Similarly, Megan Thee Stallion continues to firmly express her opinion about Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.
Last week, I found myself joining millions of viewers as I delved into the captivating world of HBO’s beloved series for the first time, on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night talk show. As I analyzed the intricate dynamics between its four principal characters, I couldn’t help but express my thoughts about Sarah Jessica Parker‘s portrayal. In a nutshell, I found her character to be, well, quite extraordinary!
Megan shared with TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi at the premiere of her documentary ‘Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words’, on Oct 30th, “Hmmm”, she acknowledged Carrie was delusional. Yet, she admitted, “I guess I have a bit of Carrie in me, so that’s alright.
Additionally, the musical performer showed enthusiasm about collaborating with Parker’s character in the “Sex and the City” spin-off show, “And Just Like That,” which commenced its third season filming earlier this year.
Megan stated, “I must go inside, I want to aid her. She considers me her closest friend.” (To hear more from Megan, catch TopMob News at 11 p.m.)
During a recent interview on The Tonight Show (October 23), the rapper expressed doubts about certain actions taken by Bradshaw’s character in Sex and the City.
Megan commented that Carrie was quite eccentric as she found enjoyment in unusual activities. In her own words, ‘Carrie adored drama. She’d start every day thinking, ‘What can I do today to cause a stir? How can I look my best while causing trouble for everyone?”
She mentioned that the character reminded her a great deal of herself. “She could have opted for reason but she consistently opted for madness,” Megan stated, “and I found myself questioning, is that who I am?
The performer also identified with Samanta Jones, played by Kim Cattrall.
Megan jokingly remarked, “Doesn’t this look like a photo of me?” as she examined the picture of the character. “I see myself in her. She is me. When ‘Sex and the City’ debuted for me, I thought, ‘I dislike this character. Why are they making her as if sex is the center of my world.’ I was quite critical. But then as the series progressed, I found myself saying, ‘Hold on a minute.’
She added, “She runs men. She don’t let men run her. She keeps trying to tell the girls, stop making the man the center of your life.”
Megan shares the opinion that Miranda Hobbs, the character played by Cynthia Nixon, is less favored among the cast of Sex and the City, but she highly values Steve, as portrayed by David Eigenberg.
“The only thing Steve ever wanted to do,” she explained, “was love this crazy lady.”

Look back at a ranking of Sex and the City relationships…
Ugh, what an a–hole.
Best moment: N/A.
It’s challenging to recall the playful, endearing interactions between the couple at the start, given how he behaved badly and in a passive-aggressive manner afterwards. HE TORE APART THEIR RELATIONSHIP USING A SIMPLE POST-IT NOTE.
Best moment: None are coming to mind at the moment, Berger. We’re sorry, we can’t. Don’t hate us.
No one believed this relationship would last, right? Still, Samantha gave it the ol’ college try.
Standout Moment: Following an evening spent with Carrie and her latest companion, where Samantha advised Big to keep his distance, Maria admitted she couldn’t maintain a friendship with Samantha.
In the latest series of Max’s comeback, “And Just Like That…”, wasn’t something that fans would have predicted – Miranda leaving her marriage to chase a comedian nationwide!
Standout Scene: To be determined…perhaps something else instead? However, if we’re talking about sheer hilarity, it would definitely be the moment when Che and Miranda got romantic in Carrie’s kitchen, all while a post-hip-surgery Carrie had an accident and wet the bed.
It turned out that the romance between the woman and the Russian was too idealistic to be genuine… and indeed, it wasn’t. He found it difficult to connect with her friends, and when Carrie impulsively moved to Paris, it ended up being a calamity.
My Favorite Memory: Following numerous extravagant romantic gestures, I found myself utterly enchanted, much like Carrie. And what better way to continue the magic than with Petrovsky? He escorted me, resplendent in my dream ball gown, to McDonald’s of all places. There, we danced languidly as we waited for our fries. It was a moment that left me equally charmed and amused.
Initially, Trey appeared to be an ideal match for Charlotte on paper. However, flaws started surfacing shortly after their marriage (such as his overbearing mother, impotence issues, disinterest in having children, etc.). To add insult to injury, he even presented her with a cardboard cut-out baby! Can you believe it?
Most Memorable Incident: The special moment when Trey escorted Charlotte to Tiffany’s, enabling her to choose her ideal ring as a way of compensating for his well-known “Alrighty!” remark.
Samantha’s initial non-sexual relationship concluded due to a sexual issue, specifically her partner’s size in that department, namely his relatively small stature. Or, to put it another way, the relationship ended because of intimate complications stemming from James’ below-average endowment.
Best moment: When Samantha told James she loved him. A huge (no pun intended) moment for her.
Poor, poor Skipper. He was kind of like a Steve-lite, and Miranda was able to walk all over him.
Best moment: When he calls her “luminous” during their chance meeting at a bodega.
In the movies, it was unexpected that Carrie’s close friend and Charlotte’s wedding organizer who became her good friend would form a romantic relationship. However, we find it quite fitting.
Most Memorable Moment: At their wedding, when Anthony expressed, “It wasn’t an immediate love connection, but in time, I realized it was love. You were the first to truly embrace me as the person I genuinely am.
To put it simply, Aidan was a fine individual, but he wasn’t “The One” for Carrie – no matter how much they wished it were so. Yet, the second season of “And Just Like That…” might show that taking another shot is the most popular fad this summer. (Rest assured, we are choosing to ignore their fling from “Sex and the City 2.”)
Most Memorable Moment: Isn’t it strange that we found their second breakup scene, where they spent the night on the floor of an apartment they’d never share again, to be particularly touching?
Discuss a snag: Despite being nearly flawless – a charismatic physician for the New York Knicks, sharing an affinity for daytime dramas with Miranda – Robert had a weakness. He simply didn’t measure up to Steve.
Most memorable occasion: Their initial kiss outside their lockers, or when she took a day off work for him for the very first time, OR HER CASE OF CHICKENPOX.
Among the gentlemen gracing the screens of Sex and the City, none quite captured my admiration like Smith Jerrod. His unwavering patience and generosity toward the fiercely independent Samantha, who relentlessly resisted succumbing to love with the model-turned-superstar, truly set him apart.
Moment of pride: Isn’t it heartwarming to reflect on the selfless act of Smith cutting off his beautiful hair for Samantha, after she had lost hers during chemotherapy treatment?
Absof–kinglutely. (Curse you, Peloton!)
Most Memorable Scene: What about the time when it was just right for Big to take Carrie to Paris and confess his true feelings? (Even though the bed fart/whoopee cushion joke remains a hilarious memory.)
Much like how Miranda unexpectedly found herself developing feelings for Steve, we too were blindsided by our affection for this couple – it felt like being struck by a massive object, much like the emotional impact of their breakup in the inaugural season of “And Just Like That”. Let’s hope justice is served for Steve!
“Most Memorable Moment: The scene that encapsulates SATC‘s least fussy pair, Miranda and Steve, was undeniably their surprise proposal followed by a simple park wedding, truly embodying them and their perfect match.
Love can unexpectedly appear in your life, such as when an unassuming attorney who leaves you sweaty during divorce proceedings transforms into the ideal partner and exceptional parent for your children that you never thought possible.
Most Memorable Moment: The charmingly disorganized, flawlessly imperfect wedding ceremony. Since the start of the series, Charlotte had yearned for a fairytale wedding, yet it was the fairytale marriage that she truly received.
What truly matters in life is your loved ones – those who share your DNA or those you choose to bring into your heart. There are times when you cherish them deeply and others when you feel a distance, but ultimately they’re the people who welcome you back every time. Sometimes it’s the family you’re given at birth, and sometimes it’s the one you create along the way.
Most memorable scene: Although we considered Carrie escorting Miranda at her mother’s funeral as a strong contender, we felt it fitting to opt for a moment involving all four friends. Our preferred choice? When Miranda shows little concern for her wedding following the news of Samantha’s breast cancer diagnosis, with all of them choosing to set aside the celebration and simply support each other instead. This is what friendship is truly about: prioritizing others over yourself.
