It’s no hidden fact that Megan Thee Stallion adores anime; she’s openly discussed her affection for series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Black Clover, and Hunter x Hunter, to name a few. Interestingly, Megan has also displayed her anime fandom publicly, gracing events like the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in costumes reminiscent of characters Satoru Gojo and Bruno Bucciarati. Recently, during her trip to France, although Megan hasn’t explicitly acknowledged it, fans of One Piece have noticed striking similarities between the singer’s new outfit and the attire of a certain Cake Island villain.
Last year, in October, I (Megan Thee Stallion) excitedly shared that I was developing my very own anime! Though I’ve been pouring my heart and soul into my music career, I can assure you all that this anime project is still a work in progress.
Fast forward to 2024, I’m thrilled to report that the anime is indeed on its way! Here’s what I shared back then: “I’ve been so engrossed in my music, but rest assured, my anime is coming through!” So, keep your eyes peeled, anime enthusiasts – this is one you won’t want to miss!
Megan Thee Charlotte
During a recent visit to France, Megan Thee Stallion was seen donning an outfit reminiscent of Charlotte Katakuri, a well-known villain from the Cake Island Arc in One Piece. Although there hasn’t been an official confirmation, numerous fans of the Grand Line couldn’t help but comment on Megan’s resemblance to Cake Island attire. As anime continues to grow in popularity, it seems that we will witness more references from the music industry in a swift and intense manner.

Where is Katakuri Anyway?
Big Mom significantly contributed to the latest Wano Arc, apparently losing her life during the confrontation with the Straw Hat Pirates. After Luffy defeated Katakuri, there’s been no sign of Big Mom’s son yet in relation to the pirates of the Thousand Sunny. The most we’ve seen so far from the final act of the series is Katakuri catching a glimpse of Dr. Vegapunk revealing the Grand Line secret, but it was more like a brief appearance than a substantial one. As we approach the grand finale, it remains intriguing to see if Katakuri will play a significant part in the conclusion of this shonen series.
If you’re eagerly anticipating Katakuri to join the cast of the live-action One Piece remake, it seems you may have a long wait ahead. In the source manga, he made his debut in chapter 860, whereas the Netflix series is still far from that point, having only reached chapter 100 so far.
