Reikon Games has unveiled additional gameplay clips for their upcoming sci-fi shooter, Metal Eden. This 20-minute video offers a sneak peek into the initial level of the game, and is shared by Australian media outlet Stevivor. You can watch it below.
The video initiates by depicting the main character, Aska, preparing for combat with essential gear such as limbs, tools, and armor. Subsequently, Aska receives a briefing indicating that Moebius is ill and the issues at hand must be addressed by her. The mission displayed involves rescuing a specific target in an area of Moebius known as the Hive.
Initially, the game eases you into action, gradually introducing adversaries for Aska to defeat. At the outset of the stage, players must employ parkour skills to traverse enormous gaps. Throughout this period, a character named Nexus shares insights about Moebius with Aska.
The action gets cranked up quickly, but the player faces a tough challenge: taking out a larger band of adversaries, including a formidable main target. The intensity increases with an intense electronic soundtrack playing in the background, as wave after wave of enemies appear in the battlefield.
The video highlights an assortment of weapons found within Metal Eden, including a pistol, SMG, and shotgun. Players can effortlessly swap between these three weapons during combat. It appears that the gameplay dynamics of Metal Eden, which involve both action and platforming, draw influence from Doom Eternal. This title was notable for its integration of parkour skills within intense battle sequences.
The video concludes with an intense, grandiose battle featuring a formidable foe, whose members need to be skillfully managed while the player navigates and evades them in the battlefield.
