Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Has a Compass, Quick-Dial, and Other Quality-of-Life Features

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming remake of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has me genuinely excited. The Battle Damage system, control styles, and visual upgrades have certainly piqued my interest, but it’s the quality-of-life changes that truly seal the deal for me.

There’s been a lot of discussion surrounding the fresh Battle Damage system, control methods, and updated graphics in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. But what’s truly impressive is that it boasts numerous enhancements to its overall quality and user experience as well.

According to IGN’s latest preview, a new Quick-Dial feature has been introduced for interacting with the codec. By pressing down on the D-Pad, you can choose to save or contact specific characters (as shown earlier). Pressing up opens a menu for swiftly altering camouflage, while moving left and right cycles through your equipment.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled about the new updates! PushSquare has shared some exciting news: the remake includes an easy-to-use prompt for adding items or weapons to my quick-access bar. This is a significant improvement over manually sorting through my Backpack every time. Plus, there’s now a Compass that guides me straight to my next objective – no more guessing where to go next!

There is a trade-off, though, as you have to equip it as an item. If you don’t have an anti-personnel sensor out at the time, it may result in an unwanted enemy encounter.

The game titled “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater” will soon be available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. The specific release date is yet to be disclosed this year; stay tuned for more information.
