Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Support Studio Opens South Korean Branch

Located in Singapore, the gaming company Virtuos has unveiled plans to establish a new development center in South Korea. This studio is recognized for its collaborative efforts in game creation with various companies such as Konami, where it’s currently working on the upcoming title “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater“.

As reported by VGC, the primary aim behind establishing an office in South Korea is twofold: firstly, to enhance the company’s global influence, and secondly, to address distinct challenges typically encountered by local game studios within the region.

As a gamer myself, I can confidently say that gaming is deeply rooted within Korean culture. Being part of the global top four game markets, South Korea has been instrumental in creating some of the world’s most successful games and continues to thrive as a significant gaming hub. This is according to Sean Yoon, General Manager at Virtuos Seoul, who made this statement recently.

Opening a studio in Seoul allows Virtuos to tackle the specific issues encountered by Korean studios head-on, as its location makes collaboration and co-development more seamless. We’re excited about bridging the gap between Korean and international games, expanding both the reach of studios and the variety of content for players worldwide.

The upcoming game, “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater,” which includes Virtuos in its development team, is set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on August 28. This release date was initially unveiled through a trailer presented back in February, though it had already been leaked prior to the official showcase.

Not only did they share when Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming out, but the trailer also offered glimpses into several different settings within the game, as well as its bosses and characters. To conclude, it was announced that the classic Snake vs Monkey mode will make a comeback in both PC and PS5 versions of this title.

Instead of the traditional Snake vs Monkey matchup, the Xbox Series X/S variant of the game now features Snake vs Bomberman. This change was officially unveiled through a trailer back in February.

For the computer version of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, its hardware prerequisites were likewise disclosed in February. You’re welcome to explore further details about the minimal and suggested system specifications by clicking here.

As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled about the ground-up remake of the timeless stealth game, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. This remake is set to be an exact replica, leveraging contemporary technology for a seamless gaming experience. To cater to players who might find the original controls challenging, there’s a brand-new control scheme available. Plus, you can opt for an over-the-shoulder camera angle for a more immersive gameplay experience. I can hardly wait!

Back in November, Konami unveiled a trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, emphasizing that the upcoming game will boast improved visuals compared to its PS2 predecessor. The video also disclosed that Jodi Bensen would lend her voice to the character EVA, while Lori Alan was announced as reprising her role as The Boss in this new version.

It’s been speculated, but not yet officially confirmed by either Konami or Nintendo, that “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater” might also be under development for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Further information regarding this could potentially be unveiled during the April 2 Direct event where Nintendo is expected to reveal the features of the Switch 2.
