Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is in the Works, Konami Confirms

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent sneaking around shadows and taking down enemies silently, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2! Having grown up with these iconic games, their HD re-release has been a long-awaited dream.

As a hardcore gamer, I’m pumped to share some exciting news about my favorite stealth action game series – Metal Gear Solid! In a recent video update called the “Production Hotline,” the mastermind behind the Metal Gear universe, Noriaki Okamura, confirmed that they’re cooking up something special: a new collection titled Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2. He didn’t reveal much, but I can feel the anticipation building!

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the announcement of games in the upcoming “Master Collection Vol. 2.” In a previous Production Hotline video this year, Okamura hinted that Konami was still undecided about the titles to include, and in a recent update, he shed more light on the reason behind this delay. It turns out, unlike the games from Volume 1, most “Metal Gear” titles don’t have pre-existing HD ports available for easy inclusion in a new collection. Moreover, among the few that already have HD versions, they are quite expansive in terms of scale, which brings its own set of challenges to overcome.

Okamura stated that we had high-definition (HD) versions of MGS2 and MGS3, although not for MGS1 as originally intended. However, for the games released after those, there aren’t any existing HD ports we can utilize. Some titles are in HD already, but they would be major releases, which come with their own set of challenges.

As a gamer, I’m always curious about the games that are being developed. Questions like “What exciting features does this game have?” or “How long will it take for this game to be ready? When can we expect its release?” are ones I often find myself asking. Unfortunately, it might take some time before we can see a clear outline of what’s in store. But rest assured, as soon as more details emerge, you’ll be the first to know right here!

Later, Okamura clarified clearly that Konami is indeed developing “Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2”. He also acknowledged the problems that were present at the launch of “Vol. 1” and promised to steer clear of such errors in the forthcoming collection.

Without a doubt, we’ve titled the initial release as Volume 1, which leads us to the creation of Volume 2, that much is certain. Moreover, we’re concerned about how the debut faced some challenges, and we had numerous problems. To avoid repeating those issues, we’ll do our best, but we kindly ask for patience as we work through it all.

Previous rumors indicated that the upcoming collection of games, “Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2”, was expected to feature titles like “Metal Gear Solid 4”, “Metal Gear Solid 5”, and “Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker”. This speculation was supported by earlier data mining leaks as well.

Additionally, Konami is persistently developing the remake of “Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater”. They’ve recently unveiled a sneak peek of the opening scene and confirmed that it can now be played from start to finish in its entirety. A specific launch date hasn’t been disclosed yet, but gamers will have an opportunity to play it at TGS towards the end of September.
