As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the latest trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio has piqued my interest like never before. The intricate plotline, the rich fantasy setting, and the promise of an immersive RPG experience have me hooked.
As the Tokyo Game Show kicks off tomorrow, Atlus has unveiled a fresh trailer for the highly anticipated fantasy RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio, developed by Studio Zero. This latest preview delves into a significant storyline detail – the demise of Euchronia’s King and the role played by Louis, a military officer. You can watch it below, but be warned, there may be some spoilers ahead.
The King’s death triggers the Election Magic, where Candidates are selected and partake in a tournament to crown the next ruler. The protagonist takes part, mostly to help lift the curse from the King’s son, and slowly works their way up the rankings, which involves traveling to different locations, completing quests, and garnering support.
On October 11th, ReFantazio debuts for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC. Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too much longer to get their hands on it, as a prologue demo is being released today (with certain regions already having access). Additionally, players can carry over their save data into the game, allowing them to continue from where they left off. For more information about the game, such as its duration, check out this link.
