It seems you’ll have your gaming room adorned with Funko Pops based on Metal Gear Solid: Delta Snake Eater, specifically Naked Snake and The Boss, well ahead of actually owning a physical copy of the game itself. These pre-orderable collectibles are set to arrive before the game’s official release date (25th March 2025), according to Amazon listings.
Although a Sony trailer suggested that the PS5 remake of the project would be released in 2024, it ultimately failed to materialize. Now, as we step into a new year, the game remains largely shrouded in mystery. Last year, we had an opportunity to play it at a Konami preview event, along with Silent Hill 2, and it demonstrated itself to be one of the most accurate remakes around, at least during the early stages of development by Virtuos.
In our previous assessment, we found that Konami and Virtuos were refining an almost flawless product without altering the gameplay or storyline. We believe their approach to this project, as outlined in the Virtuous Mission, is accurate and well-executed.
The game, Delta: Snake Eater, is expected to come out sometime this year, despite initial expectations that it would have been released by now. A PlayStation Blog post from 2024 predicted a release date announcement “later in the year,” but delays and complications may have affected the project’s timeline. However, it seems like 2025 could be the ideal year for Delta: Snake Eater to make its appearance.
