Michael Bolton’s Daughter Reveals Symptoms That Led to Brain Cancer Diagnosis

Michael Bolton‘s behavior during a family outing played a role in his brain cancer diagnosis.

More recently, Taryn Bolotin, the daughter of the man who is renowned for singing “When a Man Loves a Woman,” shared an incident from November 2023. At that time, the 72-year-old drew attention when he started taking his bowling turns out of sequence.

In an interview with People on April 30th, the individual mentioned, “It was then we found ourselves saying, ‘Something seems off with his mental state,'” due to a peculiar event that struck us as unusual.

According to Taryn, Michael exhibited additional symptoms throughout the night.

Taryn stated, “He unexpectedly toppled from his seat towards the left side, a surprising event given his athleticism and abstinence from alcohol. This left us puzzled, exclaiming, ‘What on earth just occurred?’

Over the same weekend, Michael was struck with a severe headache, and during a charity event on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in mid-November, he experienced an unusual spell of nausea and balance problems. These symptoms were alarming enough that he decided to visit the hospital for a scan, which revealed a brain tumor.

Following the doctors’ surgical extraction, tests revealed it as glioblastoma. Subsequently, Michael endured a second operation, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, which he completed in October, according to People. Now, the Grammy laureate undergoes MRI scans every two months, and his most recent one, conducted earlier this month, showed no signs of abnormality.

On the 30th of April, over a year since he announced on social platforms about having a brain tumor surgically removed, Michael gave an update regarding his cancer experience.

He said, “You’re drawing upon your strength and determination in a manner you hadn’t anticipated, People. Giving up to this challenge isn’t an option. Instead, you’re being pulled into a fierce contest. I suppose that’s how one discovers their true mettle.
