Marcus Jordan is facing legal trouble.
It was reported by TopMob News that the son of Michael Jordan, a basketball legend from Chicago, and Juanita Vanoy, his long-time partner who are also parents to a 36-year-old son named Jeffrey and a 32-year-old daughter named Jasmine, was taken into custody at Orange County Jail on February 4.
According to TMZ’s report based on further police documents, a 34-year-old named Marcus was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, such as driving while intoxicated, possessing cocaine, and attempting to evade arrest.
TopMob News has reached out to attorneys for Marcus but has not yet heard back.
Approximately two years have passed since Marcus found himself in custody, an event that followed a series of publicized ups and downs in his relationship with Larsa Pippen, the former spouse of basketball legend Scottie Pippen, which gained attention in 2023.
Despite Marcus Grodd and Larsa Pippen’s relationship officially ending in October, their romance created quite a stir earlier because of their significant age difference. Notably, Marcus’ father Michael, who has twin daughters Victoria and Ysabel with his wife Yvette Prieto, was once teammates with Larsa’s former partner Scottie during the Chicago Bulls’ successful run in the 1990s.
In a conversation with TopMob News, the ex-UCF Knights player expressed that their relationship often elicits immediate reactions or opinions based on their last names. However, as others become acquainted with them and grasp their unique circumstances better, they seem to be more joyful for them and simply wish to see them living authentically and happily.
As he put it, “I let people that are misinformed be misinformed.”
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Over time, I’ve come to realize that those criticizing the past relationship of the renowned duo are perhaps simply grappling with their own unhappiness.
The “Real Housewives of Miami” star continued, telling TopMob News, “They merely seek an opportunity to express criticism. However, those who truly know and appreciate us, wish for our happiness.
After verifying that she was unattached towards the end of the previous year, Larsa expressed a preference for keeping her personal life private during any future relationships.
She expressed to TopMob News in October that she prefers not to reveal too many details about herself, as her past relationship was very much in the public eye from the start. If she meets someone new, she plans to take things slowly and privately get to know them before making their relationship more public, as she finds it difficult to truly understand someone when they’re under the spotlight.
