Michelle Kwan's Daughter Shocks Everyone with Her Incredible Ice Skating Skills!

Michelle Kwan has a new ice princess on her hands.

The Olympic figure skater posted a heartwarming video of her 3-year-old daughter, Kalista Belle Kwan, taking her initial steps on an ice rink, and it’s evident that she has been learning from her mother’s graceful techniques on the ice for quite some time.

Michelle announced on her April 28 Instagram post that “We now have an ice skater!” The video shows Michelle joyfully assisting Kalista, who was dressed appropriately in a pink coat, knee pads, and brown skates, on the ice. “My daughter has taken her first ‘real’ steps (two years before I did!)”.

I can’t help but be ecstatic about my daughter Kalista’s determination! As someone who hung up my skates in 2006, I believe this is just the start of her incredible skating journey. It looks like Michelle Kwan won’t be the only one cheering for the little one, as Tara Lipinski, a renowned former skater, expressed her support with a heart-eye emoji in the comments.

Simultaneously, Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, who had some spinning lessons from the former skater back in 2019, also expressed his support by posting “oh my goodness” along with a crying emoji.

Apart from expressing her admiration for their shared hobby of ice skating, Michelle often ponders over her experiences as a mother. Last summer, the athlete shared a touching video showcasing their special moments together during their holiday getaway.

2 years, 7 months, and 17 days into this parenting adventure, she was constantly reminded of the significant role and weighty responsibility it carries, as she expressed in a previous post. Addressing her little one, she wished to impart three essential gifts: the ability to genuinely discover herself, the bravery to chase her dreams, and the awareness of how profoundly cherished she is.

Recently, they’ve been cherishing some special moments between them as mother and daughter, marking three years since Michelle, who was previously married to Clay Pell, shared the unexpected news of Kalista’s birth on Instagram in 2022. Back then, she revealed that her path to motherhood had been a difficult one, but expressed gratitude for not giving up.

She mentioned that she’s long dreamt of becoming a mother, and to her, it’s an incredible miracle.
