Mickey 17 – TRAILER

As a film enthusiast with a penchant for the unconventional and a soft spot for Bong Joon Ho’s cinematic brilliance, I must say that the Mickey 17 trailer has me intrigued! The combination of dark comedy, Robert Pattinson’s captivating acting prowess, and Bong Joon Ho’s directorial genius is a recipe for a potentially mesmerizing film experience.


I’ve just received the trailer for Mickey 17, penned by the brilliant Bong Joon Ho, Academy Award-winning director of “Parasite.” This seems to be a blend of dark comedy that has me intrigued! Robert Pattinson is rapidly climbing my list of favorite actors with his compelling performances. I can’t wait to see what he brings to this production!

Titled as his “next groundbreaking cinematic adventure,” “Mickey 17” revolves around the unconventional protagonist Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson), who finds himself in an extraordinary situation where he works for an employer with extreme demands – a commitment so deep that it requires him to give up his life, quite literally.

Directed by Bong Joon Ho, the film titled “Mickey 17” features Robert Pattinson (known for “The Batman” and “Tenet”), Naomi Ackie (“Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker”), Steven Yeun (“Nope”), as well as Academy Award nominees Toni Collette (“Hereditary”) and Mark Ruffalo (“Poor Things”).

This film, titled “Mickey 7“, is crafted by the award-winning producers Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner (winners for “Moonlight” and “12 Years a Slave”), Bong Joon Ho and Dooho Choi (known for “Okja” and “Snowpiercer”). It’s an adaptation of Edward Ashton’s novel, “Mickey 7“. The executive producers are Brad Pitt, Jesse Ehrman, Peter Dodd, and Marianne Jenkins. Darius Khondji, nominated for an Oscar for his work on “Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths” and “Okja”, is the director of photography. Fiona Crombie, with nominations for “The Favourite” and “Cruella”, is responsible for production design. The editing duties fall to Yang Jinmo, who has been nominated for an Oscar for his work on “Parasite” and “Okja”. Dan Glass, known for his work on “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” and “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw”, supervises the visual effects. Catherine George, who has worked on “Okja” and “Snowpiercer”, is responsible for the costumes.

Warner Bros. Pictures is set to release a film, produced by A Plan B Entertainment, Offscreen Productions, and Kate Street Picture Company, directed by Bong Joon Ho, titled “Mickey 17.

Mickey 17 will be released in the UK on 31st January 2025
