Starting next week, Sony’s enhanced PS5 Pro system will be an ideal platform for playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on console systems, since Microsoft has hinted at the type of support players can anticipate when the PS5 version launches on April 17th, 2025.
Alongside the recently unveiled PS5 launch trailer (shown above), Bethesda has shared insights on how MachineGames is maximizing the capabilities of the PS5 hardware, ensuring compatibility across all PS5 versions. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will maintain a smooth 60 FPS performance alongside high-quality resolution on both standard and advanced PS5 systems.

This device offers a seamless loading experience, enhanced detail, superior quality, and lifelike, dynamic lighting across the entire world, all courtesy of ray tracing. Additionally, it boasts 3D audio and HD haptic feedback, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the action. The PS5 controller’s light bar encircling the touchpad reacts to your actions, while the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers bring each action directly to your fingertips, giving you a tactile sense of every move you make.
The degree of support offered will be accessible on both standard PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, but it’s the PS5 Digital Edition that developers are pushing further. With a native 4K resolution and sophisticated ray tracing, Bethesda’s senior content lead Anne Lewis describes it as “the optimal way to fully immerse yourself in the intricate details that the MachineGames team has meticulously crafted throughout the game world”.
Lewis goes on to say: “You might easily lose track of time strolling through the diverse surroundings, marveling at every tiny detail, such as artifacts in Marshall College’s extensive collection and the lush greenery of Sukhothai’s forests. However, there are no specifics about frame rate enhancements for PS5 Pro; yet, 60fps is default – even on the standard PS5.
