A tragedy is unfolding after a two-plane crash in Arizona.
30 a.m., as confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to NBC News. Regrettably, this incident has led to at least two fatalities.
According to a Facebook post from the Marana Police Department, they quickly responded to the scene following the incident. Interestingly, as reported by NBC News, the nearby airport (around 21 miles from Tucson) does not currently operate an air traffic control tower.
As a committed observer, I can’t help but notice that the unfortunate incident we just witnessed is yet another tragic air travel accident to occur in the United States recently. This includes commercial airline crashes in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, along with a commuter plane crash in remote Alaska.
At the same time, a jet belonging to the lead singer of Mötley Crüe, Vince Neil, had an accident during landing at Scottsdale Airport on February 10th. Though Vince Neil himself wasn’t on the plane when the collision with a parked aircraft happened, one person lost their life, and four others were hurt in this unfortunate incident, as reported by NBC News.
In a previous statement, Mr. Neil’s attorney expressed that his sympathies and well-wishes are extended to everyone who was part of the situation, and he is thankful for the crucial help provided by all the emergency responders on the scene at that moment.
More recently, an airplane that had taken off from Minneapolis, Minnesota, experienced a crash landing and subsequently flipped over on February 17 upon arriving in Toronto, Canada. Remarkably, all 80 passengers aboard managed to survive the accident, which was followed by a significant emotional impact on everyone involved.
As John Nelson, a traveler aboard the flight, I shared with CNN hours post the harrowing incident, I’m still reeling from the stress. Incredibly, we’ve managed to survive this ordeal. Here’s hoping for a smoother journey next time around.
