Enthusiasts of Stephen King and Mike Flanagan are having a whale of a time. As their upcoming collaboration, titled “The Life of Chuck“, is due to hit the big screen on June 6, there’s been some thrilling news about their latest joint project.

In addition to other tasks, Flanagan is also working on a fresh take for Amazon’s Prime Video based on the classic novel, which has been adapted before – first in 1974, then again in 2002 and 2013. It’s now confirmed that Summer Howell will play the lead role, as had been speculated, with several actors from the Flanagan universe expected to reprise their roles in the cast.

Actor Matthew Lillard, known for his role in “The Life of Chuck,” will once again work with the filmmaker on the upcoming movie titled “Carrie.” Back in May, it was announced that he would be playing the character Principal Grayle. Additionally, Mike Flanagan’s regular collaborator Samantha Sloyal (from “The Fall of the House of Usher” and “Midnight Mass”) has also signed on for the upcoming adaptation, taking on the role of Carrie’s mother.

Joining the cast are Alison Thornton from “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce,” Thalia Dudek known for “Doctor Who,” Siena Agudong starring in “Sidelined: The QB and Me,” Amber Midthunder, who has been seen in both “Prey” and “Legion” on FX, as well as Josie Totah from “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” Arthur Conti of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” and Joel Oulette from “Sullivan’s Crossing.
