32-year-old individual, who had been quiet about rumors of strained relationships with her mother Tish Cyrus and ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus, spoke up following a reunion with her father to mark her brother Braison Cyrus’ 31st birthday, which they celebrated as a family.

Miley shared on her Instagram Stories on May 10 that she seldom addresses gossip, but her mother and she are so close that nothing could ever come between them. She considers her mom as her best friend. Much like many mothers, she’s not tech-savvy and somehow unfollowed Miley – it was just a simple, coincidental, and unremarkable occurrence.

Fans noticed on social media that it seemed like Tish had stopped following the “Wrecking Ball” singer on Instagram. However, the host of Sorry We’re Cyrus explained in a comment that she didn’t know how this happened but it has been rectified now. Additionally, at age 57, she expressed on X that she would never unfollow Miley, stating that their relationship remains as close as ever.

Regarding Billy Ray, who ignited speculation about a strain in his relationship with Miley and some of his other six children following her omission from her 2024 Grammys acceptance speech acknowledgments, Miley clarified in her latest post that they have encountered difficulties throughout the years.

Miley went on to say, “At this stage in my life, my family takes precedence over everything else. I find comfort knowing that connections have been established and time has worked its healing magic. I’m thankful for the well-being and affection we share within our family.

Billy Ray celebrated Braison’s birthday in the caption of his May 9 post.

Over the past year, Billy Ray, who has often commended Miley on social media, recently posted a seldom-seen photo of himself with his ex-co-star from “Hannah Montana,” three months following his son Trace Cyrus’s statement about Billy Ray supposedly facing unspecified difficulties. Trace, at 36 years old, had previously expressed concern and urged his father to seek the necessary help.

He expressed his immense pride on Instagram, writing, “I am absolutely overjoyed by both of you! Tears are streaming down my face as I compose these words. I’m grateful that you can’t see me weeping right now. Go ahead and enjoy yourselves and be happy! With all my love, Dad.

Billy Ray Cyrus married Tish Cyrus (née Leticia Finley) on Dec. 28, 2003.

At that point in time, they had already co-parented a 12-month-old child named Destiny Hope Cyrus, who later became famous as Miley Cyrus, and Tish was expecting their son Braison Cyrus, born on May 9, 1994.

Back in the spring of 1992, a full seven months before Miley entered the world on November 23rd, my beloved Billy Ray’s former flame, Kristin Luckey, welcomed their precious son Christopher Cody Cyrus into the world on April 8th. I can hardly contain my excitement as I recall these moments!

It seems that the issue between Miley and her father, which had occurred previously, remained unresolved as of the Grammy Awards night on February 4, 2024.

Tish, Brandi, and Maxx Morano (Miley’s boyfriend) were all present, and they all received acknowledgments as Miley Cyrus was awarded Record of the Year.

However, Billy Ray amended his plan and filed for divorce, which was settled that August.

“Regarding my sisters, he said, ‘We’ve been really worried about you for a long time now, but you’ve kept us all at arm’s length.’

Noah was especially hurt, according to Trace.

Noah deeply yearns for your presence in her life, but you haven’t shown up when she needed you,” he said. “That’s your daughter we’re talking about – she deserves more than this. Somehow, just like me, she still looks up to you, despite everything. We all cling to the memories of the man you used to be and hope for the day you come back.

Following concerns expressed by his son Trace, as well as Miley, Brandi, and Noah, Billy Ray, the country music star, penned a message in the caption of a YouTube Shorts post on January 26, 2025. “Sending prayers for my family, for my kids – both sons and daughters, and their mother.
