As a die-hard Stranger Things fan, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster since Millie Bobby Brown tied the knot with Jake Bongiovi in Italy! The cherry on top is that Matthew Modine, Papa himself, officiated their special day. It’s heartwarming to see the bond between these actors extend beyond the Upside Down and into real life.
In May, it was revealed in a secret ceremony held in Italy that Millie Bobby Brown, famous for her role in Stranger Things, tied the knot with Jake Bongiovi. Fresh details about their wedding have emerged recently, such as who performed the ceremony. On social media, both Brown and Bongiovi posted pictures from their special day, one of which confirmed that Matthew Modine, who plays Dr. Martin Brenner (Papa) on Stranger Things, officiated their wedding.
It wasn’t really unexpected that Modine was the one to oversee Brown and Bongiovi’s wedding, given that he had already mentioned in an interview with Access Daily earlier this year that he would be officiating and even wrote the vows for the newlyweds.
At that point, I possessed a license to perform weddings,” Modine explained. “Milie found this exciting, and Jake agreed, so I crafted their wedding vows. They were thrilled with the words I chose for them to intertwine their hands and pledge their lives as husband and wife.
He added, “It’s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony.”
In the fictional world of Stranger Things, Eleven (played by Brown) and Dr. Brenner (portrayed by Modine) might have had a complex relationship, given that Dr. Brenner was the head scientist at Hawkins Lab where experiments were conducted on the children, including Eleven. However, in reality, these two actors share a strong bond off-screen. Recently, Modine posted a picture on his personal social media featuring a friendship bracelet with the word “Papa” on it, tagging both Brown and Bongiovi, expressing gratitude towards them using the hashtag “#friendsforever” and a heartwarming quote about friendship.
As for the last and concluding season of “Stranger Things”, Netflix hasn’t disclosed an official summary nor set a definite release date. However, we can anticipate its return in 2025. The final episodes may bring significant hurdles for the characters, as suggested by series actor Gaten Matarazzo.
Matarazzo revealed that the remainder of the town is now fully cognizant that something significant is unfolding. It’s much like the familiar, enjoyable atmosphere surrounding this gang and their escapades, with the primary objective being to put an end to these events and keep the Upside Down from encroaching further. However, this narrative is tinged with some severe setbacks for the group. Notably, Dustin experienced a profound loss towards the end of season four, and we saw the demise of a friend who was very close to him.
Matarazzo stated, “We aim to showcase the project next year. That’s our target. However, unexpected issues can arise during production, particularly for large-scale seasons. Therefore, while there are no absolute guarantees, I believe it’s fairly certain that next year will be the year we unveil it.
Stranger Things is expected to return for its fifth and final season in 2025 on Netflix.
