Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi aren’t kidding around about their herd.
Not long after they marked their first wedding anniversary, the actor from “Stranger Things” disclosed that they had welcomed a new addition to their menagerie of farm animals.
On June 9th, Millie posted a charming photo of their newborn goat on Instagram Stories. While she didn’t disclose much information about this tiny kid, the 21-year-old unveiled that its name is Florence June Bongiovi, honoring her grandmother who also bears the same first name.
I’m thrilled to be keeping exceptional company indeed! Much like the star of Enola Holmes, I already have three goats – Cardi B, Slick Rick, and Eminem – residing on my farm in Georgia. In total, Jake, 23, son of renowned rocker Jon Bon Jovi, and I care for more than 60 animals. Our menagerie spans from common pets like cats and dogs to larger ones such as horses, cows, and even a blind donkey. What an incredible collection we’ve gathered!
Meanwhile, as the married pair are busy tending to their farm animals, they’ve established a reliable method for rearing their pets.
Millie shared on the SmartLess podcast that she began caring for farm animals, specifically bottle-feeding them. She described these animals as if they were babies, stating that her goats often slept in her bed while wearing diapers. In fact, she even co-slept with them, alternating shifts with Jake.
The reason they accommodate numerous animals, even their private pets, is not merely for display. In fact, Millie recognized the advantage of moving to a spacious farm, as it would facilitate the growth of her animal rescue organization, Joey’s Friends, which she founded in 2022.
In an interview with Vanity Fair in February 2025, Millie expressed that her actions aren’t driven by aesthetics. Instead, she does it out of love. She implied that some traditional wives might be doing it because it appears wholesome, but this isn’t the case. If your idea of farm life doesn’t involve cleaning horse manure or washing cows with bare hands, then perhaps it’s not suited for you. In her opinion, authentic farm life encompasses such tasks.
Additionally, she provided glimpses into her experiences living in the small-town setting, mentioning that the ambiance differed significantly from what she had anticipated.
She went on to say, “You believe animals are tranquil, and you see the South as serene. However, things can get quite chaotic. My pets are noisy, the house is always a mess, and my dogs are unpredictable. Yet, there’s also laughter, plenty of passion, and excitement that fills the air, making it a lively environment. Despite the chaos, I find myself thriving in such an energetic setting.
