Millie Bobby Brown shared how she realized that the man who later became her husband, son of Jon Bon Jovi, was the one she wanted to spend the remainder of her life with. Their journey began when they decided to live together for the first time.

The Stranger Things actress, during her conversation with Alex Cooper on the March 12 episode of Call Her Daddy, revealed that they had shared the companionship of dogs and took care of their pets together. She found herself living a routine life with him, and as the days passed, she felt an overwhelming desire for him. She expressed, “I realized, ‘Oh, I can’t imagine being with anyone else. I don’t want to date, I don’t want to meet anyone. I just want you.’

Besides finding everyday life effortless with Jake, Millie also emphasized their shared views on significant matters as the reason that made her decide she wanted to commit long-term to him.

She clarified, “When our conversation shifted towards politics and our parenting plans – topics I’d never delved into before – it felt like we were discussing matters of significant importance. As a young woman, I hadn’t discussed these subjects much, let alone with men. However, being able to ponder over such ideas left me thinking, ‘Wow, maybe this is someone I could spend my entire life with.’

In the thrill of my ardent admiration, I can’t help but reminisce about the moment when the topic of matrimony arose in their relationship. However, at that juncture, I was left in suspense, questioning if he shared the same depth of feeling as I did. It wasn’t until his heartfelt proposal at the tender age of 20, and me at 19, that I finally understood the answer to my question. The decision to get married so young resonated profoundly with both our families’ choices, creating a beautiful echo of tradition and love in our lives.

Millie mentioned that both her and her parents’ relationships started in high school, leading to them getting married at a very young age, similar to what she shared: “My parents tied the knot rather early. They met when they were 19 years old.” She further emphasized that their love stories were much like hers, as they had young marriages too. Growing up, she and her siblings had great role models in her young-married parents, which made it seem normal to her.

Discussing their families, a significant event for the pair occurred when the actor from Enola Holmes introduced his partner to a family road trip in an RV, referring to it as his “induction” or “introduction” into her family circle.

Millie clarified that not being able to ride in a car and sing songs with her family would be a big problem for her. She went on to share that when they had him join them, he immediately felt comfortable. In fact, her family seemed apprehensive, worrying that they might traumatize him during the long drive. However, he enjoyed it thoroughly. He even surprised everyone by stopping at a gas station to buy snacks for everyone and they all sang songs together.

However, even at the outset of their romance, Jake had already left an impression on the founder of Florence by Mills, as he effortlessly connected with her family, particularly during a family gathering arranged at an airport pickup.

Millie recalled feeling utterly shocked when they all piled into the car together. Jake nonchalantly tossed his hair aside and greeted Mr. Brown with casual confidence, leaving Millie in awe at how effortlessly cool he seemed.

She emphasized again, “Jake excelled at it.” And I recalled musing, ‘If he managed that, well, that was the challenging part.’
