Expressing it in a more casual and clear manner: It’s fair to say that MindsEye didn’t exactly have a smooth debut. The game received unfavorable reviews on Steam, PlayStation even granted refunds, and there were numerous problems across all platforms. As it stands, Build A Rocket Boy is dealing with quite the situation. They’ve already announced another hotfix by the end of this week, but they’ve also posted an update on Reddit detailing additional fixes to come.
As a devoted admirer, it pains me deeply that not every gamer had the chance to immerse themselves in our game as we envisioned. Our utmost focus lies in enhancing the performance and stability, ensuring that every player, regardless of their device, can savor an equally exceptional gaming experience.
Throughout the night, our teams have been diligently working to resolve several problems we’ve encountered, and we’ve pinpointed that most of these crashes were due to a memory leak. This affected approximately 10% of our players. The initial update will tackle this issue and numerous others. Our developers are putting in extra effort to release it tomorrow on PC, followed by console deployment after the update clears certification.
Next week, I’m excitedly anticipating the release of our next hotfix, which promises more enhancements to performance and stability, along with squashing pesky bugs, such as one that was causing players to slip through the world in Car Manufacturing. By the end of this month, Update 3 is set to roll out, bringing AI advancements, animation corrections, a revamped Hard mode, and other optimizations aimed at boosting performance and stability.
You can find ‘MindsEye’ on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. Take a look at our review; we gave it a rating of five out of ten.
