MindsEye Developer Warns That Physical Copies Don’t Have Day One Patch Data Included on Disc

As a thrilled fan eagerly anticipating the launch of “MindsEye” on June 10, spanning PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, it seems that some lucky players have already managed to get their hands on physical copies of this exciting title ahead of schedule. One such fortunate gamer, the user MrHazel88 on a popular social media platform, has shared images of their early copy of the PS5 version of “MindsEye.” They’ve promised to steer clear of spoilers and focus instead on discussing gameplay mechanics and whether the action-packed experience is worth the investment.

As a gamer, I’ve been expressing my thoughts on the latest release of MindsEye, and to be completely honest, it hasn’t left me all that impressed. In fact, it reminds me a bit too much of BioWare’s Mass Effect Andromeda from a few years ago, which had some major graphical and optimization issues when it initially launched. Unfortunately, I’ve also encountered quite a few bugs during my playtime with this game.

In reaction, the developer Build A Rocket Boy has issued a notice to players who may have received early versions of the game MindsEye. They want to inform these players that the game’s initial update is still pending release on the first day.

The team at Lenz News informed us that some real-life editions of MindsEye have popped up before our scheduled launch on June 10th. Even though the anticipation among us at Build A Rocket Boy and IOI Partners is as high as ever, we wanted to provide a few crucial updates.

The studio is eagerly anticipating the launch of their game and acknowledges the effort put into its creation. At the same time, they ask those who’ve received early versions not to reveal any spoilers or share video content to preserve the gaming experience for others.

MindsEye revolves around unexpected twists and emotionally impactful scenes – the kind you’d rather discover on your own, as they’re best experienced spoiler-free. So, we kindly ask that you refrain from sharing any footage before its release.

As a gamer, I’m excited to share some news about our upcoming release. For those of you who have the physical copies, there’s a significant update on its way! This update is designed to optimize the gameplay experience for MindsEye, ensuring it plays just as we intended, and more importantly, allowing all characters to shine at their absolute best.

After the game is released and becomes available for purchase, the developers of Build A Rocket Boy have promised that they will create additional content for the game following its launch. They’ve shared their intention to maintain the game with regular updates, even providing a roadmap outlining plans for new game modes and missions.

Leslie Benzies, the founder of the studio, has expressed his ambitious vision for the project named MindsEye. This long-term plan spans a decade, with the ultimate goal in sight. In an interview, Benzies discussed that there will be continuous additions to the game’s content and the narrative of MindsEye will grow gradually over time.

Benzies commented that certain elements, such as races, are designed primarily for enjoyment. However, in most cases, we aim to integrate these aspects within the storyline. Therefore, after experiencing the larger, long-term narrative spanning ten years, you’ll have a comprehensive understanding of this universe.

In the meantime, here are our thoughts about the ambitious ten-year plan for MindsEye.
