MindsEye Gameplay Showcases Combat, Flying, and Drone Abilities

At the IO Showcase event, Build A Rocket Boy unveiled an extensive demonstration of their upcoming title, “MindsEye“, a third-person action adventure. During a crucial story mission, assistant game director Adam Whiting discussed some key aspects of the game. Here’s a glimpse below.

The story unfolds following a significant event in Redrock City, now under military control, experiencing rainfall for the first time in decades. Our hero, Jacob Diaz, attempts to flee from the armed forces, leaping and firing from rooftops before hopping into a vehicle. Predictably, it’s hit by gunfire, but miraculously, our protagonist remains unscathed.

The story unfolds on the bustling streets, as Jacob finds himself up against mechanical adversaries. Luckily, his helpful drone proves useful in various ways – whether it’s incapacitating robots with an electric jolt or converting them into momentary allies. Along the way, you’ll stumble upon gates leading to side quests that offer additional insights into the city and its inhabitants.

Additionally, content on the side can be accessed anytime through the Pause menu, which includes races among other things. Furthermore, it’s planned that Build A Rocket Boy might offer additional content post-launch. However, players have the freedom to generate their own content within the game using the built-in tools.

On June 10th, MindsEye is set to debut on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms. For a comprehensive understanding of its key features, don’t forget to explore our detailed article!
