Initially, it was planned for release on 4th March 2022. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the release date had to be postponed.

The movie faced additional setbacks in 2023 as a result of the SAG-AFTRA strike, but since filming concluded in April 2024, it appears that it will stick to its planned release date in April 2025.

A Minecraft Movie cast

In the upcoming movie, Jack Black will portray the character of Steve, an accomplished craftsman. Back in January 2024, the actor shared on Instagram that he had been cast for this role, along with a tutorial for the associated game, accompanied by the caption “an actor gets ready.

In addition to Jason Momoa (Aquaman), who’s taken on the role of Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, Emma Myers (Wednesday) has been cast as Natalie. Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black) will make an appearance as Dawn, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Just Mercy) steps into the character of Henry.

Actress Jennifer Coolidge, known for The White Lotus series, has also joined the project, but specifics regarding her character are still being kept confidential.
