Minka Kelly Opens Up About Her Relationship with Dan Reynolds

Minka Kelly can’t imagine anyone not liking Dan Reynolds.

On a rare occasion, the actress from Friday Night Lights opened up about her relationship with the lead singer of Imagine Dragons. She disclosed that her beau’s cameo in her latest Netflix series, Ransom Canyon, was well-received by everyone involved in its production.

Minka shared with People magazine (on April 17) that he was warmly received by everyone, including the producers and writers, as they all naturally took a liking to him. It’s clear why Dan is so lovable.

Since 2022, there have been rumors about the 44-year-old actress and 37-year-old singer being an item, yet they prefer to keep their shared life out of the spotlight. However, when Minka was queried whether Dan would appear in a cameo, it seemed that both were enthusiastic about the prospect.

She said, “One day they inquired, ‘Might he portray this role?’ To which I replied, ‘I’ll check with him.’ He turned out to be very gracious and eager to participate.

In the series, Josh Duhamel, who starred alongside Minka, mentioned that Dan participated in a scene with him and was a delightful newcomer.

“He’s a good dude,” the actor, 52, told People. “He did a great job, he really did.”

When Minka mentioned that the singer seemed surprisingly anxious, Josh chimed in, stating, “Stepping into new surroundings can be quite challenging.” He went on to say, “It’s a daunting experience.

Josh shared that once the nerves subsided, Dan was a natural.

As a completely smitten admirer, I can’t help but exclaim that this fellow is exceptionally gifted across numerous domains! It barely takes a handful of moments – a scene here, another there – before my apprehensions completely vanish.

Regarding Dan, it’s worth noting that he was spotted having a leisurely lunch with Minka in Los Angeles last February. Prior to this, he shared that his shared creative passion with Minka, whom he met through a friend not long after his divorce from ex-spouse Aja Volkman, is what brought them together. Together, they have children: Arrow (12), Gia (8), Coco (8), and Valentine (6).

Afterward, I had the privilege of sharing some fresh tunes I’ve been working on with Minka, and in reciprocation, she graciously offered snippets from her personal chronicles – excerpts from her memoir.

He shared with People magazine in July 2024, “She expressed something along the lines of, ‘If you’re going to showcase your art, I can reciprocate by sharing something personal with you. It’s quite exposing for me.’ He confided that she was just as apprehensive about him reading her book since they hadn’t met, as he was about her listening to a song that he had composed.

On March 27, Minka and Dan shared a pleasant dinner together at L.A.’s All Time Restaurant, free of any deception or illusion.
