What’s New for the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Movie?

At the AnimeJapan 2025 event held over the weekend, it was confirmed that the opening theme for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved will be “Namida no Parade,” performed by fhána. Moreover, two new cast members were introduced: Fumihiko Tachiki as Kimun Kamui and Nobunaga Shimazaki and Azad are joining the previously confirmed returning actors, which include Mutsumi Tamura as Kobayashi, Yuki Kuwahara as Tohru, Maria Naganawa as Kanna, Yuki Takada as Elma, Minami Takahashi as Lucoa, Daisuke Ono as Fafnir, Yuichi Nakamura as Makoto Takiya, Emiri Kato as Riko Saikawa, and Kaori Ishihara as Shota Magatsuchi.

Starting June 27th in Japan, Shiori Sugiura replaces Tomomi Mineuchi as the voice of Ilulu in the upcoming movie “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved”. However, at this time, no international release plans have been announced for the film. Tatsuya Ishihara, who directed the second season of the TV anime, will direct the new movie for Kyoto Animation. Yuka Yamada wrote the script, Miku Kadowaki designed the characters and serves as chief animation director, while Lantis and Heart Company handle the musical production.
