Miss Scarlet finally confirms season 5 UK release date

In line with the title adjustment, this upcoming season of the Victorian mystery series will mark the absence of Stuart Martin, previously portraying William ‘the Duke’ Wellington. Last year, he expressed his decision to depart, stating that “it seemed fitting for Scarlet to embark on fresh tales and endeavors at this juncture”.

On the other hand, a fresh member is set to join the cast. This new character is none other than Tom Durant-Pritchard, portraying a detective inspector who takes up a position at Scotland Yard to replace the Duke. Interestingly, this inspector isn’t particularly fond of private detectives.

However, the season summary hints at a growing connection between the two characters as they intersect in their professional lives within London. This bond could potentially evolve into admiration and possibly romantic feelings.

Producer Patty Ishimoto hinted at some upcoming events: “This season, there will be a wedding, Eliza goes out on a date, the British Intelligence agency becomes entangled, and an adult sheds tears like an infant (though it’s not who you might guess).

So, it looks like there’s a lot for fans to look forward to!

Besides Phillips, here are the familiar faces joining us again: Cathy Belton portrays Ivy Woods, Simon Ludders takes on the role of Mr. Potts, Evan McCabe plays Oliver Fitzroy, Felix Scott is cast as Patrick Nash, and Paul Bazely steps into the character of Clarence.
