As an avid fan, I’m excited to share that Atari is keeping the legacy of its classic game series alive by introducing a new installment: Missile Command Delta. This isn’t just a remake of the old arcade defense game you might recall; it’s a fresh take on it, offering an entirely different experience.
Announced for PS5 in the above trailer, Missile Command Delta combines first-person exploration and puzzle-solving with a new, turn-based take on the classic gameplay.
It looks like players will likely spend a significant amount of their gameplay within an underground shelter, where they need to traverse and unravel mysteries to enlarge their collection of defensive items and discover fresh areas of the complex.
Next, you will employ the collection of tools amassed by you in tactical, turn-based conflicts, neutralizing approaching dangers with skillfully timed detonations.
On top of all that, there seems to be a narrative mystery tying everything together.
This appears to be quite promising and could potentially represent one of the most significant modern updates to an Atari classic that the publisher has undertaken yet.
There’s no release date yet, aside from that it’s “coming soon”. The game can be wishlisted on PS Store now.
